Excellent atmosphere. Great food. Fantastic service. Our waitress Victoria was the most perfect waitress I've met.

Mediocre service. Mediocre food. Just all around mediocre. Not good, but not bad. Honestly I wouldn't recommend this place. There are MUCH better Italian restaurants in the area such as Gino's, King's Pizza, and Umberto's. Yeah this place is mostly tourists who are afraid of trying something new.

Busy night and still only waited 30 minutes!! The best part of the entire meal was our waitress Theresa G!! I would wait hours if I was guaranteed that she would serve us. Please ask for her when you go, it will be an all around great time.

I can say for sure we have never had a bad meal at carrabas in either the north myrtle or myrtle beach locations. The sauce is good, not great but far better than other "Italian" spots on the grand strand. There is always something new on the menu. From seafood and steaks to classic dishes, this place is always solid. Can't miss option if you need a "go to."

I must say - my family talked this place up quite a bit and I walked away not that impressed. Now, don't take that criticism as in that I didn't enjoy myself, but I don't think it was anything more than a slightly better Olive Garden. The chicken parm I had was good - but didn't blow my mind. If you want something that tastes "reliable" - even if you have never been here - then this is the place. It's off-the-shelf Italian. If you want something more full of depth and authentic, then I'd shy away.

I always love eating at Carrabbas! Anything on the menu is great but I have a special place in my heart for the lobster ravioli! Service is great and staff are super sweet and attentive!

I love Carrabbas. This was my first time dining at this location as we were on the road traveling back to Charleston. The restaurant was pretty busy for a Sunday night. We were able to skip the 30 min wait and sit up at the bar that surrounded the pizza kitchen. I don't mind sitting at Carrabbas' bar seats. I think it's fun to watch the action and keeps me occupied. Our server was pretty slack and that's what keeps me from giving this location a better rating. It took him an awfully long time to greet us, even longer to deliver waters, we watched our salads sit on the line until the expo person finally brought them over, and our sides on our entrees were less that room temp from sittting on the line. Being that we were sitting at the bar we could see our food just waiting on a runner. Scotty Thompson Appetizer is one of my favorites. It's so simple, yet so delicious. A boat of pomodoro sauce (easiest way to describe it is a marinara-ish red sauce with some good seasoning and spice) topped with big dollops of goat cheese that's baked and served with ciabatta bread. Dip that bread right into and cover it in sauce and goat cheese. Mmmmmm! I'm excited to hear that they have started a Amore Mondays. 3 course meal with price points at $12, $15, and $18. Choose either a small app or dessert, soup or salad, and then a decent list of entrees. Your entree decides your price point.

When faced with nothing but chain options for dining Carraba's is usually a good bet. This location; however, is staffed by a manager with all the presence of a strip club bouncer and a loud, abrasive bartender. We could not get out of there fast enough which is a shame because the atmosphere (aside from the staff) is really nice.

My family has grown up and away. When I don't want to cook Italian, Carrabba;s is the best place to have a wonderful meal. From the delicious crusty bread, to salad, entrée and dessert, your server is always pleasant and trying to make your stay happy. I love this place, whether I come with friends, family or alone. I don't feel alone and and the food is delicious.

This was my first time at a Carrabas. I signed up for the "Carrabas email club" prior to going, and they sent me an email for a free appetiser. So when we went in, we ordered that first. We got the Bruchetta. It normally would cost $8.70. When they brought it out, there were 6-8 pieces of grilled bread and a small jar of a tomato, basil garlic type blend you can shmear on it. So NOT worth the price. It was happy hour till 7:00, so we both got beers for $2.35 each. I ordered a side salad for $5.00 and got the regular size Calamari appetizer for my main meal. It was very good. The husbands meal was "fair! he said. It was a butterfly chicken breast with mushrooms and cheese. He got three slices of a mushroom. Potatoes were just OK. The waiter Jason , was great. Very attentive.

Food is always satisfying. ...but I didn't get the remainder of my garlic potatoes in my take home box. Was wondering if that's a normal procedure or an oversight?

We stopped in here by accident because restaurant next door gave the worst service. We were greeted warmly at the door and escorted to our table. The atmosphere was great and out waitress was excellent. I felt the food was a little on the Salty side but tasty nevertheless. There grilled shrimp is amazing and I definitely recommend it in a pasta dish or salad.

Our party was large and we were seated at two different tables, which was fine. The waitress arrived and began to explain that she was not responsible for the second table. We were ok with that. However the other server was not and made no attempt to hide the fact. After some time a member of our party began to wonder why the bread had not been delivered when two parties (who had arrived after us) had gotten their bread. A member of our party asked another server about the bread and his reply was "It takes about 20 min to bake, when it is baked we get you some." We were aghast! We immediately got up and started out asking for the manager so we could pay for our drinks. The person who said he was the manager began to echo the same comments to us that the rude waiter had. When I explained how the two parties beside us had gotten their bread already, he then explained that he was the owner and that he had instructed his staff not to deliver bread unless the party had asked for it. This may be the case, and I will take him at his word. However his rude server should have simply replied "we will get you some bread" when asked initially. We were not rude and did not expect to be treated like this. We are only 2 families. But we will never eat at this particular establishment again. A few of the comments on here hit at systemic problems within the culture of this establishment, and it is only a matter of time before lasting damage is done. Dr. C.....

The food was good, well prepared and flavorful. OUR waiter was very good. The hostess was FAR from friendly. It was cool inside and had to go out to get a sweater. On the way out a female was also on the way out. She just walked put and let the door go behind her. I thought that was very rude. Not impressed....

Went here on Father's Day. The wait was 45 minutes but we did a call ahead (highly recommended!) so we only had to wait about 15 minutes. It took a while to get a waitress (the manager said something about a couple of new waitresses) but once we got one the service was quick and very friendly. The food was very good and everybody left the restaurant stuffed. The prices were a bit high but not that bad ; dinner for five came in at just over $110 before tip. Overall we were very happy with our meal and would consider eating there again.

Love the blackberry sangria, calamari, wonderful salads, pizza and pasta dishes. The bread pudding is to die for. And they know how to make a great dirty martini. The staff is always pleasant and professional.

First time at this location. Food was good and on point except my wife's dish came out cold so we had to send it back-they were nice enough to comp us. Also they underestimated our wait and never brought out our appetizer. The staff seemed unorganized and frantic. Not sure if I will go back to this location.

Food and service was very good compared to other Italian chains. Fried zucchini app is delicious! Veal Marsala, Chicken Parm and red sangria are all excellent. John Cole dessert (vanilla ice cream with caramel sauce and sugared pecans) made a great finish.

I love Carrabba's! I have been to several different locations and none have failed to please, I try something new each time I go. This time I had the chicken bryan, it has an unusual creamy, tangy taste. I loved it, I also sampled the chicken Parmesan and it was very good as well. I went at lunch so there wasn't a wait as I have had to deal with in the pass, the service was really good, helpful without being bothersome. Was very knowledgeable about the menu as well.

Always good. A chain that has kept up its quality and service over the years. We always eat at Carraba's at least once during our many trips a year to MB. The waitstaff are well trained, the food is consistent and excellent. I'm not a big fried food guy, but their calimari is the best with their spicy sauce. Their Johnny Rocco Seafood Salad is the best. Their fresh bread with the olive oil and herbs are a great complement to everything. My wife always gets salmon or their fish of the day and it is always perfect. Their wine list is short but very good and they have some very good affordable choices. Always one of our favorite spots when we want to be sure we will have a nice dinner.

We decided to eat here since my husband and I had eaten here the previous year and it was quite good. Can't say the same about what I had this year. I got the Sampler, which came with Chicken Parm, which was over cooked and Lasagna, which was too spicy for my taste and the side that came with the meal was quite odd....garlic mashed potatoes... Which were not bad, but just did not belong on the plate with the other two, in my opinion. We had a salad as an appetizer and all three of us pushed it away after the first bite. It tasted like fish... Really disgusting! The waitress was very nice and was quite attentive. After we left... Within an hour... I became quite sick to my stomach... Within... Two hours of me.... So did my daughter. Another thing that seemed to really get on our nerves.... When we got there.... It was not crowded in the least and the hostess led us to a table smack in the middle of the restaurant where you could barely move without bumping into the person at the next table. We politely asked the hostess could we please have a booth instead, which there were plenty empty ones available.... And she let out a huge sigh.... And said... "Now I have to go refigure everything!"...., making it quite clear be we were a bother to her.... So we just told her to forget it since it seemed to be so much trouble for her. Great waitress.... Horrible hostess! We will skip Carrabba's and won't be back!

Ordered Grilled fish on cibbata but manager told the waitress I couldn't have it because they didn't want to cut a piece of fish to fit due to potential waste. Hubby ordered minstrone for appetizer. When it came, it didn't look like a recognizable soup, it was generally a mush. A different manager came over, said the soup should not have been served, brought a new bowl of it. Said the reason I couldn't have the fish sandwhich was because they were out of fish. Bad experience and we are fans of the Carraba's where we live. Waitress did try her best, her service was good.

Italian Cuisine

The immense popularity of Italian cuisine globally isn't unknown. You can find an Italian Pizzeria around every corner of almost every city in the United States. Not to forget that in every house, people enjoy mac and cheese as comfort food. But it would be wrong to believe that Italian food starts with pizza and ends with good pasta as this Mediterranean country has much more to offer other than these two dishes. In Italian Cuisine, there is a high use of fresh tomatoes, all kinds of herbs, great quality of cheese, all types of meat, seafood and fresh handmade pasta. Many find it hard to believe that Italians have been making noodles long back.

Italian and Greek cuisines are always mistaken to be same, but they are poles apart. The primary difference between the two cuisines is the use of cheese in most of the Italian dishes. Italians love to cultivate their own cheese and process them as per their food requirement. It is believed that some cheese is so expensive that cheese producers secure them in lockers.

If you are bored eating the same old pasta or pizza, you can try some of the authentic Italian dishes like Risotto, Polenta, Ribollita, Lasagna, Fiorentina Steak, Bottarga, Ossobuco, Carbonara, Focaccia, Arancini and Supplì. Another item which Italians love to relish every morning is a good cup of Italian Coffee. Once you taste a freshly brewed cup of Italian Coffee, you might not visit Starbucks ever again. Authentic Italian food is made with heart and soul, so go find a restaurant where you can relish Italian cuisine in your city.
